Republic of Tea Moroccan Mint Green
Tea Review
A Splendid Mix of Green Tea & Peppermint!
Summary : This is simply a perfect mix of green tea
and peppermint. A superb way to get your healthy antioxidants (from the
green tea), with no worries about the "grassy taste" found in some green
teas. And the peppermint flavor in this tea is delicious.
Review : Green tea. Gotta love it. Nice and healthy...loaded
with antioxidants. Yet, like all things in life, if you drink the same
thing over and over and over again...the tea just becomes boring. And
so it is that I've fallen in love with green teas that have various things
infused into them. And being a "mint-a-holic," I could absolutely not
resist the temptation to try out the Moroccan Mint Green Tea from the
Republic of tea, which is a mix of green tea and peppermint!
The moroccan mint green tea from the Republic of Tea contains the following
ingredients : formosa gunpowder green tea leaves blended with peppermint.
Here is how the Republic of Tea describes this tea : "Cool and
refreshing, this brew is traditionally sipped from glass teacups with
an over-indulgence of sugar. A blend of peppermint leaves and fragrant
Gunpowder green tea."
Any doubts that you are about to try a peppermint tea will be dashed
the minute you open up the tea bag. The aroma of this tea is REALLY powerful,
nearly as strong as a pure herbal peppermint tea is. And of course, if
you are search of peppermint, that is a very, very good thing.
As this tea uses formosa gunpowder
green tea leaves, the tea leaves
themselves aren't long like grass. Instead, the leaves are small pellets.
So don't be too shocked by how the tea leaves look when you scoop them
out.
Happily, this tea has a flavor to match the powerful aroma of the tea.
The tea tastes like, well, you guessed it...peppermint! What else? Actually,
the flavor of the tea doesn't quite compare to a full blown herbal peppermint
tea. If "true peppermint" is what you seek, you are best off to find
it in a pure herbal
peppermint tea.
Instead, what this tea does is nicely combine the lovely flavor of peppermint
with the enjoyable and somewhat subtle flavor of gunpowder green tea.
The result is a splendid tea that tastes primarily of peppermint but
still has a "tiny hint" of green tea flavor to it.
Overall, this is just simply a wonderful tea. It has an excellent peppermint
flavor and nicely combines it with the light and subtle flavor of gunpowder
green tea...essentially giving you your cake (peppermint) and allowing
you to eat it too (antioxidants found in green tea.) A very happy combination
indeed.
Recommendation : Absolutely. This is a perfect mix
of green tea and peppermint! You get all the health benefits of the green
tea, with the lovely taste of peppermint. Don't like green tea? Well...try
this one! It's the perfect tea to be introduced to green tea!
