Tulsi Original Herbal
Tea Review
A Odd Tasting Tea With Loads of Health
Benefits
Summary : This tea from Tulsi Teas is a herbal tea
that contains very different, all of which are organic, list of ingredients.
While this tea is a very healthy tea to drink, I found the flavor of
the tea to be rather uninspiring with a rather nasty aroma once brewed.
Review : I'm feeling experimental tonight. And as such,
I was in the mood to try something totally different, seeking out a tea
flavor that I've never had before. And so I dug around my tea sampler
selection and came across a tea from Tulsi Teas that seemed like it might
hit the spot.
Tulsi teas, produced by Organic
India, uses very different ingredients in their teas. Tulsi names their
teas after the herb that is used in all of their teas, which is called
Tulsi appropriately enough. The Tulsi leaf is then mixed with
several other types of organic ingredients for a very unique herbal tea
indeed.
Here is how Tulsi
describes this tea on their website : "Delicious,
fragrant, exquisite - the finest Rama, Krishna and Vana Tulsi leaves
and blossoms are expertly blended to create a soothing, uplifting, full-bodied
beverage that is inspiringly fresh and flavorful. Tulsi, 'The Queen of
Herbs' encourages tranquility, clarity, relief from stress, robust immunity
and stamina. It offers respite from colds and flu, helps to balance the
metabolism and is rich in antioxidants . With its fresh taste and astonishing
array of health benefits, The Original Tulsi Tea is, quite simply...
perfect."
This tea is a organic tea and contains the following ingredients : Rama
Tulsi, Krishna Tulsi, Vana Tulsi.
The fragrance of the tea before brewing is kind of boring. Nothing special.
Nothing awful. But definitely different.
Unfortunately, I found the flavor of this tea to be somewhat lacking.
The flavor was quite strong, but tasted so differently that I still can't
quite pin down what this tea actually tastes like. Yes...the flavor of
the tea is THAT different!
Now, the flavor...at least to me....isn't bad. It just isn't a flavor
I would describe as good either, or a tea that I would want to drink
daily.
Additionally, the tea did have one unfortunate aspect to it...I found
the tea once brewed had kind of a nasty aroma about it. The tea really
smelled like it was somewhat burnt...and a burnt smell in a tea is something
that is most definitely not for me!
Overall, this is a very unique tea...in both terms of ingredients used
and the teas flavor. And due to the ingredients found in the tea, this
tea is very healthy to drink too. But the unpleasant aroma of the tea
means I definitely won't be drinking this
particular
tea again.
Recommendation : Maybe. If the fragrance of the tea
is more to your liking, you may enjoy this tea more than I did. And while
I personally found the flavor of the tea to be lacking, it is most definitely
different...and perhaps people with taste buds dissimilar to my own may
enjoy this tea more than I did.
