Tazo Wild Sweet Orange Herbal Tea
Review
An orange herbal tea that REALLY packs
a punch!
Summary : If you are looking for a super sweet, strong
tasting orange tea - well - look no further. You have found it in Tazo's
Wild Sweet Orange Tea.
Review : Well...where to begin. Let me say this, this
tea really, really packs a punch. It is, by far, the sweetest tea I've
ever had in my short journey of tasting teas. And well...if you like
oranges....and you like sweetness....then this tea has your name on it.
So run over to Amazon and pick up a box (
Tazo Tea at Amazon.com ).
I've tasted quite a few orange teas, as I love oranges to be blunt,
and usually have come away disappointed. Prior to tasting this tea from
Tazo, the best "orange tasting teas" I have had were an Orange
Rooibos Tea from
Adagio Teas , which truly is an awesome orange tea.
Yet, in terms of pure sweetness - in terms of pure "orangeness",
I don't think that tea even comes close to Tazo's Wild Sweet Orange tea.
I had a very sneaky feeling I was going to like this tea after I pulled
it out of the foil package as I was nearly overwhelmed by the pure orange
aroma that this tea has. And a "orange aroma" is bound to lead
to a "orange taste", right? Well, not always, but in this case,
it absolutely, postively did!
This tea from Tazo contains the following ingredients : Lemongrass,
blackberry leaves, citric acid, rose hips, spearmint leaves, natural
flavors, orange peel, safflowers, hibiscus flowers, rose petals, natural
orange essence, ginger root and licoric root.
As you can see, this orange tea from Tazo has quite the laundry list
of ingredients. Exactly where the taste of those other ingredients are
I have no idea - as all I tasted was orange! However, I suspect the other
ingredients combine to produce the truly wild orange flavor you get in
this tea.
Now, here's a word of warning. This tea is super, super sweet. If you
do not like sweet teas, you will NOT like this tea, no matter how much
you enjoy an orange tasting tea. If you don't like such strong and sweet
teas, consider the Adagio
Rooibos Orange Tea instead.
Recommendation : Yes. This is the tea for people with
the following two criteria 1) incurable "sweet tooths" and
2) who love oranges. If you fit both of these criteria, then you will
adore this tea. If you only meet one of the above criteria, then this
tea is not for you, as this tea is at its heart simply a strong, super
sweet orange tea!
