Stash Chamomile Herbal Tea Review
A light tasting tea with a hint of
apple
Summary : This tea from Stash does indeed make a nice,
relaxing evening tea, just as advertised. Light tasting with a rather
pleasant, lingering after-taste.
Review : I'll be honest. I was ready to have a "bad
tea tasting experience" when I first tried this herbal tea from
Stash. Reason? There was virtually no smell when I opened up the tea
bag. And generally, no smell of the tea equals darn little taste to match.
And to some extent, this is true. The Chamomile Herbal Tea from Stash
is indeed weak-tasting. But then again, it's meant to be that way.
Yet, there is something rather soothing about this tea to both the taste
buds and the body. While the flavor of the tea itself is not strong,
the tea has a surprisingly nice after-taste. Indeed, you taste the apple
more in the after-taste than you do while drinking the tea itself, something
I found rather odd.
Additionally, this tea is indeed very relaxing. As such, it makes a
perfect before bed time tea.
For those not familiar with chamomile tea, the flowers used in the tea
generally come from Egypt. Egypt is generally regarded as providing the
largest, brightest flowers with the most fragrance and flavor, due in
no small part to the amount of experience the Egyptians have in cultivating
and using this tea. The use of chamomile in tea goes back centuries in
Egypt, where chamomile has long had a reputation has a medicinal plant
for a wide variety of ailments.
Recommendation : While this tea is nothing terribly
special, I did find this tea enjoyable and very, very relaxing. And the
more the after-taste lingered, the more I liked it!
