Safeway Select Evening Delight Tea
Review
A Tasty Tea of Chamomile and Peppermint
Summary : A surprisingly good tea with a very nice
flavor of peppermint and chamomile. Makes for a perfect before bedtime
tea...especially if you have a slightly upset stomach!
Review : I love peppermint...it is such a tasty and
soothing herb. Peppermint is ideal for after heavy dinners or simply
when you have a upset stomach...like I do now. And I love chamomile...it
is the perfect herb for relaxation. Few things put my lights out faster
than a chamomile tea...making it the perfect bedtime tea.
So what happens when you combine peppermint and chamomile? Hopefully...a
perfect relaxation and evening tea...even if the tea is a supermarket,
generic brand from Safeway!
The fragrance of the tea was quite encouraging. The tea has a very strong
aroma of peppermint...nearly as strong as a straight peppermint herbal
tea. And so, despite being unimpressed with their other teas, I kept
an open mind when trying this tea once I had brewed it up.
Happily, the flavor of this tea matched its aroma. The flavor was a
perfect mix of peppermint and chamomile. I actually found the peppermint
flavor of this tea to be far better than Safeway's
Peppermint Tea.
Overall, for a generic supermarket brand tea...this peppermint chamomile
tea is very satisfying. The tea has a very nice but not too strong peppermint
flavor, with just enough chamomile flavor to create a tasty tea.
Recommendation : Yes, surprisingly. This tea is a very
nice and relaxing blend of peppermint and chamomile...making for the
perfect late-night calm down and get ready to go to bed tea.
