A Superb Cinnamon Herbal Tea

Summary : If you like cinnamon, well, do I have a tea for you. This herbal tea from the Republic of Tea has a wonderful cinnamon flavor, with just a nice hint of ginger to make this tea very interesting and memorable in terms of flavor.

Review : I adore cinnamon. I mean, who doesn't like cinnamon? After all, cinnamon is seemingly used in everything...from tooth paste, to medicine (to hide the usual nasty taste), from mouthwash, to gum, to candy and...of course...tea!

Thus, being a self-proclaimed cinnamon junkie, I'll try any tea...and I do mean any tea...with a cinnamon flavor to it.

And so on a cold, January evening I found myself in the mood for a "warming tea." You see, one nice thing about chai teas as well as herb teas with cinnamon in it, is that they really can "warm you up," and help take away the chill of winter.

The tea I selected for this late-January night review was a tea which I just received from the Republic of Tea, a herbal tea called Cardamom Cinnamon.

Here is the description of this tea as provided by Republic of Tea : "Warm the Heart Herb Tea--Native to shadier regions of India and Ceylon, cardamom has the gentle, airy taste of the forest itself--reminiscent of ginger with pine. Cinnamon adds a spicy depth to this stimulating brew."

This tea contains the following ingredients : cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, chicory, pink peppercorns, star anise, closes and cassia oil.

This tea has an absolutely wonderful aroma...although what the aroma actually smells like is a bit hard to pin down! Rather oddly, the aroma is not of "cinnamon." Instead, the aroma has a nice fragrance of ginger, a "wee bit of cinnamon," ginger and a few other things my untrained nose can not quite identify. Regardless, the aroma of this tea is quite unique and aromatic...all of which shows up in the teas flavor, happily.

The flavor of this tea is simply superb...at least if you love cinnamon. Really, this is one of the first teas that I've had that really packed a powerful cinnamon flavor. The flavor of cinnamon in this tea is very, very strong...perfect for a cinnamon junkie such as myself. And an absolutely ideal tea for a cold January evening.

And not only is the flavor of this tea "all cinnamon." The after-taste, which simply lingers on and on and on, also possesses a strong cinnamon flavor to.

So, if you have been searching the world over for a great tasting and strong cinnamon tea, you can now stop your search. As you have found it in this very tasty tea from The Republic of Tea.

Recommendation : Absolutely. This is a top-notch cinnamon tea...and anyone who loves cinnamon is almost certainly going to fall in love with this one. Keep in mind that this tea isn't "truly spicy" like many chai teas are...so if you want "pure spice" this tea may not be for you. But, if you love cinnamon, you will be hard-pressed to find a tea that possesses a stronger cinnamon flavor than this one.
