Lipton Ginger Twist Herbal Tea Review
A light tasting herbal tea with a
hint of ginger.
Summary : Not the tea to seek out if you want a strong
taste, but the light-taste of this tea is rather pleasant and provides
for a pleasant after-taste.
Review : Looking for a tea with a heavy hint of ginger?
Want to be knocked over by a overpowering "ginger taste"??
Well, stop right there - as this tea isn't for you.
Instead, Lipton's Ginger Twist Herbal Tea is a "light ginger tea",
for lack of a better word. While the tea will not overpower neither your
sinuses (weak smell) nor your taste buds (light-taste), the ingredients
of this tea do seem to come together to produce a rather pleasant if
somewhat forgettable tea.
The Ginger Twist tea from Lipton contains the following ingredients
: Orange peel, ginger root, coriander, lemon grass, roasted chicory root,
cinnamon, hibiscus flowers, lemon peel, licorice root, natural citrus
flavor (contains soy lecithin), cloves.
Like other herbal teas, this one is also caffeine free.
One thing I particularly liked about this tea is its after-taste. Few
bagged teas of the world ever have a decent after-taste that lingers.
This tea is different, though. The after-taste of this ginger tea tends
to linger around, existing in sort of a "goldilocks state" -
neither too strong nor too weak.
So, will you like this tea? My view is that while this tea is nothing
special, its far from awful too. If you are in the modd for a light-tea,
this tea might just hit the spot.
Recommendation : Not for people in search of a strong
taste. Instead, tea is best for people who want a light, rather pleasant
taste with a moderate dose of giner. The tea also has a rather pleasant
after-taste that lingers around. All in all, not too shabby for a supermarket
brand bagged tea.
