Lipton Cinnamon Apple Herbal Tea Review

Not a bad tea for a supermarket tea

Summary : A somewhat surprisingly good tea that nicely combines Apple and Cinnamon. The taste is a bit weak, but for a supermarket tea, that isn't too surprising. Still, the tea does have a pleasing flavor about it.

Review : Cinnamon is one of the greatest things ever invented, or should I say found? So take that and mix it with apple (and who doesn't love apples), and the result should be a tea that someone like myself should like, right?

Well, rather surprisingly, I did indeed like this tea. After opening up the foil wrapper this tea came packaged in, I begean to get my hopes up a bit. The tea smelled just like what I thought (or hoped!) it would - a mix of apple and cinnamon. And its been my discovery that often times you can indeed judge a tea by its smell alone.

Lipton's Cinnamon Apple tea contains the following ingredients : Cinnamon, hibiscus flowers, chamomile flowers, roasted chicory root, allspice, orange peel, roasted carob, and natural cinnamon and apple flavors with other natural flavors (contains soy lecithin).

The flavor of this tea was rather surprising. Yeah - it was weak - as I've discovered other Lipton teas have a tendency to be. Still, while weaker than I would have preferred, the ingredients in this tea do indeed combine quite nicely to produce a pleasant tasting tea.

In particular, I found the apple taste of the tea to be rather pleasing - neither too strong nor too light (or just right, as goldilocks would say). The cinnamon taste of the tea is a different story, as it is quite weak. Still, maybe the tea was planned that way - in order to prevent the cinnamon flavor from overpowering the less powerful apple taste.

Regardless, I did find drinking this tea a pleasant experience. And if you like a mix of apple and cinnamon flavors, I suspect you will too.

Recommendation : Yes. Not the worlds greatest tea, but for a bagged supermarket tea, it is actually quite tasty. Anyone who likes apples and cinnamon should definitely give this tea a whirl.
