Good Earth Original Sweet & Spicy Tea Review

A Superb Tea That Is Both Sweet & Spicy!

Summary : This is a highly tasty and unique tea, to say the least. This herbal tea from Good Earth somehow manages to be both incredibly sweet and somewhat spicy...with a superb flavor. The tea is so sweet...in fact...you would swear sugar has been added to it, but it hasn't.

Review : I was in the mood tonight for something different. Basically, I wanted to try something I hadn't before. And so I went hunting through my tea collection for something I've never tried before and which preferably would also be sweet...as I have a sweet tooth tonight.

The first tea that seemed like it might hit the spot was Good Earth's Original Sweet & Spicy Herbal Tea. I also have never had a Good Earth tea before, so I was quite looking forward to giving this tea a try.

This tea contains the following ingredients : Tea, Rose Hips, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Lemon Grass, Peppermint, Papaya, Anise, Orange Peel, Ginger, Artificial and Natural Flavors.

As you can see, this tea contains quite the laundry list of ingredients. Yet, being in a spicy mood, what struck me about the ingredients was the cinnamon and the peppermint...a very interesting and exotic mix!

The fragrance of this tea is extraordinary, to say the least. The tea has one of the strongest aromas of cinnamon I've ever tried. Indeed, the tea almost smells like pure cinnamon...with a hint of mint beneath it. All in all, you may find yourself having a difficult time actually brewing the tea up...the aroma of this tea is that addicting.

After experiencing the aroma of this tea, I had developed really, really high hopes for this tea. And, rather amazingly, this tea tasted even better than my high hopes...always a very, very good thing.

First off, the flavor of the cinnamon in this tea is incredibly good and very strong. I've tried many cinnamon teas before, and none match the strong or tasty flavor found in this tea. Indeed, other cinnamon teas aren't even in the same league.

Secondly, the peppermint flavor in the tea is subdued. Normally, this is a bad thing. But here...the subdued flavor of the peppermint mixes absolutely perfectly with the strong cinnamon flavor...producing a highly unique and incredibly sweet and flavorful tea.

Overall, if you enjoy herbal teas, absolutely give this tea a try. And if you love cinnamon teas...well...this tea has your name on it, period!

Recommendation : Definitely. This tea is a superb cinnamon tea, incredibly flavorful and with some nice "kick" to it too. Mix that cinnamon with a subdued flavor of peppermint, and you have a recipe for a superb and highly flavorful tea...which also happens to be incredibly sweet too!
