A Terrible Flavored Black Tea

Summary : In the mood to inflict pain on someone? Or simply want to torture someone? Well...give them this tea and watch them squirm and make funny faces as they attept to choke down this awful flavored black tea.

Review : I found myself in the mood tonight for something with raspberries in it. Why, I have no earthly idea. Perhaps because it is mid-March and there is still snow on the ground and the weather is still cold. But whatever the reason, the idea of a raspberry tea simply struck me as a darn fine idea...so off I went to search through my teas for something that had "raspberry" in the name.

The first tea that said raspberry that I found in my tea collection made my heart sink a bit, admittedly. It was a raspberry tea with the awe-inspiring brand name of "Global Brands," which is in fact tea exported by Impra Teas of Sri Lanka.

The reason my heart sank a bit is because these tea...besides being very affordable (50 cents per box!)...have been less than impressive. And just a few hours earlier I had drank and reviews their Strawberry Flavored Black Tea...which turned out to be a less than happy experience.

Well, as unsatisfying as my experience was with their strawberry tea, I must say...in comparison to my experience with this Raspberry Flavored Black Tea...my strawberry tea experience was a walk in heaven.

Quite simply, this raspberry flavored tea is terrible. The leaves were bitter. And the raspberry flavor was nowhere to be found. And no...I did NOT overbrew the tea.

So I'll keep this review short and say this...

If you like a raspberry flavored tea...you will not like this one.

If you like a black tea...you will not like this one.

End of Story.

Recommendation : No, unless you are in the mood for self-flagellation or wish to inflict this tea on someone you do not like.
